Connecting communities to thrive

Westlink M7 people are part of the Western Sydney fabric. We’re locals. Our teams bring diversity, technical know-how, and a willingness to ensure our customers have a safe and efficient travel experience. Through local connections and partnerships, we work collaboratively to give back in ways that meaningfully support communities to safely connect and thrive along our motorway corridor.

Sponsorships and Partnerships

In 2023-2026 we support:

Advancing Aboriginal cultural knowledge, learning, and reconciliation activity on the lands where we operate. Our Reconciliation journey has included involvement in environmental and community projects, naming and adding Aboriginal Artwork to our Incident Response Vehicles, sharing cultural stories, joining cultural walks, and spiritual smoking ceremonies.

Empowering the next generation of safe drivers by sponsoring the PCYC Safer Drivers Course (SDC). This grassroots-run program enables hundreds of learner drivers, every year, to access Towards Zero and road safety education and earn essential logbook hours towards their P-plate licence.

Sponsoring the Greater Sydney Landcare Cumberland Plain Restoration Program

STEM education programs and curriculum-based learning to support future engineers and technologists in becoming builders and maintainers of vital road transport infrastructure.

Westlink M7’s annual “Share the Path” Day aimed at fostering great relations with the Greater Sydney cycling community and promoting safety on the M7 shared path.

Staff volunteering with local charities and non-profit organisations that need our support.

Community Infrastructure – Shared Path

The M7 Shared Path, which runs for nearly 40kms of uninterrupted travel alongside the M7 Motorway, is one of Western Sydney’s most popular, and well-maintained public facilities. The shared path is used daily by walkers, runners, cyclists, and locals alike It’is a favourite for leisure and commuting, while providing health and recreation benefits for Western Sydney.

Learn about our safety initiatives on the path:

Linking community infrastructure and reconciliation through artwork

A mid-way point on the path at Eastern Creek provides community users with access to a free water bubbler featuring our inspiring Aboriginal Artwork. The artwork represents our connection on Darug Country and the creeks and vegetation on the lands we are on. The bubbler has lots of options for the community including a drinking fountain, anti-bacterial nozzles, and a dog bowl!

Think Community like we do

Westlink M7’s Community Relations goals focus on boosting and empowering community participation, fostering goodwill, and building thriving partnerships.

We’re about showing respect for past, current, and future generations through reconciliation action and living our values of collaboration, respect, diversity and inclusion, every-day.

We invest in initiatives and programs that provide youth with barrier-free access to road safety and STEM-based education, training, learning, and jobs, for locals.

We consider sponsorships that promote road safety, protect or enhance the local environment, and actively contribute to reconciliation.

We’re also focussed on environmental protection, responsible motorway operations, landscape and maintenance, and sustainability.
